Looking for a Father's Day or birthday present for the special Dad in your life? I saw an ad on Facebook advertising a sign very similar to the design I'm sharing here and knew that I had to recreate it as a gift for my son for his little ones to give him on Father's Day. Needless to say, it was a huge hit and he absolutely loved it.
Assembly Notes
If you're not familiar with turning a photo into a background for letters and/or shapes in Cricut Design Space, you can watch the video I made showing how on YouTube here.
I started out with a piece of wood cut to 12.5" x 10" and then sanded and painted it a light tan. Since I used Print then Cut on printable vinyl for the 'DAD' images I wasn't able to get it all on one sheet so I faced the issue of making sure it was lined up properly when applying it to the wood....transfer tape with grid lines to the rescue. I peeled each letter off the sheet and then placed them individually onto my sheet of transfer tape to ensure they were all lined up and then applied it to the wood. For the sentiment I opted for black iron on instead of regular vinyl and used my Easy Press to apply it.
